"To protect life and property"
Welcome to the June Lake Fire Department
In Case of Emergency, DIAL 911

The June Lake Fire Department is a full service fire department providing fire protection, fire suppression, emergency medical services, hazardous material response, rescue and other miscellaneous public services to the community of June Lake and surrounding areas.

The June Lake Fire Department was founded in 1928 as a volunteer services group for a newly developed recreational area in the Sierra. Official recognition came with the chartering of the June Lake Fire Protection District on July 19, 1939.

Today, local volunteers make up the Department

The fire protection district covers an area of approximately 8.5 square miles (22 km2), including not only June Lake but also the nearby unincorporated areas of Pine Cliff, June Lake Junction, and the down canyon area of the June Lake Loop from the June Lake Village to Silver Lake. The District maintains two fire houses.

We are proud to serve our community, neighbors and our visitors.
