Propane safety...what you need to know
Propane Tanks
To ensure your propane tanks and equipment are safe during the winter season remember to constantly make sure that all propane pipes, valves, regulators and the tank are clear of snow and ice.
Please remember to NOT bury your tank or the connection to your house from snow from your roof or when removing snow with equipment.
Be Aware
If you smell gas - IMMEDIATELY put out all smoking materials and other open flames. DO NOT operate lights, appliances, telephones and cell phones. Flames or spark from these sources con trigger an explosion or a fire.
Leave the Area
If you smell propane/gas LEAVE AREA IMMEDIATELY and Call 9-1-1
